The Embassy of Turkmenistan in Pakistan attended the conference “Sino - COMSTECH Collaboration Initiative”

On April 27, 2023, the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Pakistan took part in the conference “The Sino - COMSTECH Collaboration Initiative: Strengthening Cooperation in Traditional Medicine and Allied Biomedical Sciences in the OIC Member States” hosted by the Ministerial Standing Committee on Scientific and Technological Cooperation (COMSTECH) of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) at the COMSTECH Secretariat in Islamabad.

A large group of representatives from various Chinese pharmaceutical companies participated and delivered speeches at the event. Participants from several OIC member countries joined the discussions virtually. During the question and answer session, participants exchanged views with scientists and experts in the field of Traditional Medicine and Healthcare.

Speakers at the conference called for promoting cooperation in research and development in natural products, biotechnology, public health and traditional medicine through institutional and industrial ties between China and OIC member states.

The event was attended by heads of diplomatic missions and diplomats from OIC countries, representatives of leading Chinese and Pakistani pharmaceutical companies, Pakistani and Chinese scientists, as well as media representatives.
