Embassy of Turkmenistan in Islamabad hosts a Literary Evening dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the birth of Magtymguly Fragi

On September 7, 2023, the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan with the participation of ethnic Turkmen, living in Pakistan, held a literary evening dedicated to the life, poetry, and upcoming celebration of the 300th anniversary of the birth of the great Turkmen thinker and poet-classic of the East Magtymguly Fragi.  

The event began with the presentation of a new poem of the Leader of the Turkmen Nation, Chairman of Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan, esteemed Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov named "Pähim-Paýhas Ummany Magtymguly Pyragy" (Magtymgyly Pyragy - the treasure of the mind). It was stressed, that the poem, devoted to the rich heritage of Magtymguly Fragi, once again demonstrates the poetic talent of Hero-Arkadag.  

During the literary evening, its participants exchanged views on the life and works of Magtymguly Fragi, and discussed his poems, based on poetic wisdom with a broad outlook. It was also noted that the work of the great poet-humanist Magtymguly Fragi had a significant influence on the development of not only literature but also the spiritual life of Turkmen people and people of the East. His verses have been translated into many languages of the world and are the heritage of world culture.

At the end, participants of the literary evening expressed profound gratitude to the National Leader, Chairman Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, and the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov for the popularization of the personality and creative heritage of the great classic of Turkmen literature and world culture Magtymguly Fragi.
