Turkmenistan Ambassador to Islamabad visits Ethiopian Embassy
On June 25, 2025, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Turkmenistan A. Movlamov held meeting with Dr. Jemal Beker Abdula, Special Envoy and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia at the Embassy of Ethiopia in Islamabad.
During the meeting, the Turkmen side conveyed an official invitation on behalf of the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov to the President of Ethiopia Taye Atske-Selassie Amde to participate in the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries, which will be held in the “Avaza” National Tourist Zone on the Caspian Sea in Turkmenistan in August this year.
Ambassador Jemal Beker Abdula gratefully accepted the invitation, confirming the importance of this forum for his country, as a state that does not have direct access to the sea. He expressed interest in ensuring the participation of the Ethiopian delegation at a high level.
Ambassador Jemal Beker Abdula highly appreciated the neutral and peaceful foreign policy of Turkmenistan, based on the principles of mutual respect, good neighbourliness and constructive interaction. He noted that Turkmenistan serves as a positive example in the peaceful resolution of complex regional issues.
During the conversation, the parties discussed a wide range of issues related to strengthening bilateral cooperation, exchanged views on current aspects of the international and regional agenda, and outlined priority areas for further cooperation.
