Embassy of Turkmenistan in Islamabad received the Pakistani delegation of the Society of Asian Civilizations
On September 10, 2025, a meeting was held at the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Islamabad with the delegation of the Society of Asian Civilizations of Pakistan led by its Founder Member Dr. Zulfiqar Ali Qureshi.
Turkmen side made a presentation on the foreign policy of Neutral Turkmenistan, as well as on the results of the 3rd UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries, held in Avaza in August 2025.
During the discussion, both parties underscored the strategic significance of the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI) gas pipeline and the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan (TAP) power transmission line projects. These initiatives are seen as vital to meeting Pakistan’s long-term energy needs. The parties agreed that the successful implementation of TAPI and TAP would play a key role in supporting Pakistan’s stable socio-economic development, while also strengthening the energy partnership and fostering deeper mutually beneficial cooperation between Turkmenistan and Pakistan.
At the end of the meeting, the sides confirmed their readiness to further strengthen contacts and continue the dialogue aimed at developing political, economic and cultural ties between the two fraternal countries.
