Embassy of Turkmenistan team wins silver at Padel Tournament among diplomats in Islamabad

On February 15, 2026, the team of the Embassy of Turkmenistan secured second place at a Friendly Padel Tournament held among members of the Diplomatic Corps in Islamabad.

The tournament was organized by Senator Sitara Ayaz, Secretary General of the International Parliamentarians Congress (IPC), in partnership with Jazz, a leading digital services operator in Pakistan, and the Embassy of Turkmenistan.

The event was held in an atmosphere of mutual respect, friendly competition, and goodwill. The team from the Embassy of Turkmenistan, demonstrating a high level of preparation, coordinated play, and team spirit, took a respectable second place, second only to the team from the Embassy of France. Third place in the tournament was secured by the team of the Embassy of Rwanda.

The tournament concluded with an awards ceremony, honouring the winners and runners-up.

Organizers and participants noted that the event served as an effective platform for strengthening mutual understanding within the diplomatic community. They expressed strong confidence that sports diplomacy will continue to contribute to dialogue and the building of trust in international relations.
