Representatives of the Embassy of Turkmenistan visit Capital Smart City in Islamabad
On May 6, 2026, representatives of the Embassy of Turkmenistan, led by Ambassador A. Movlamov, visited Capital Smart City — Pakistan’s largest smart city project currently under development, located approximately 30 minutes from Islamabad.
During the visit, the delegation was briefed on the master plan and development concept of the new smart city, which is designed to accommodate more than 1.7 million residents.
As part of the familiarization tour, the Embassy representatives explored key construction projects and infrastructure initiatives. The development includes modern residential and commercial districts, advanced transportation infrastructure, a financial center, educational and healthcare institutions, as well as tourism and recreational facilities. The project also features hotels, exhibition venues, and an international-standard golf course.
Special attention was given to the implementation of smart technologies, including intelligent traffic management systems, digital security solutions, video surveillance networks, and modern energy and telecommunications infrastructure.
At the conclusion of the visit, both sides commended the high standard of the solutions being implemented and expressed interest in exploring potential cooperation in the fields of urban development and innovative technologies.
