Ambassador of Turkmenistan and Commerce Minister of Pakistan discused trade development strategies

03 April 2024, Ambassador of Turkmenistan, Atajan Movlamov called on the Federal Minister of Commerce Jam Kamal Khan, at the Ministry of Commerce of Pakistan.

The Ambassador of Turkmenistan congratulated the Federal Minister of Commerce on his recent appointment and wished great success in strengthening trade relations between the two brotherly countries.

During the meeting, various aspects of Turkmen-Pakistani relations were the focus of discussion, emphasising the importance of cooperation based on the principles of mutual respect and equality. Both sides expressed interest in increasing trade with a focus on exploring new routes and transit trade agreements.

Ambassador A. Movlamov noted that Turkmenistan has ample opportunities to supply the domestic market to Pakistan with energy resources and emphasized the possibility of cooperation in various sectors of the economy.

Both sides agreed on the importance of exchange of delegations to facilitate smoother coordination and expedite finalisation of the relevant agreements to promote trade between Turkmenistan and Pakistan.

Minister J. Kamal Khan expressed optimism in harnessing the huge potential of trade between two brotherly countries.
