Meeting with the Federal Minister for Commerce and Industries & Production of Pakistan Dr. Gohar Ejaz

On September 7, 2023, the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Pakistan A. Movlamov met with the Federal Minister for Commerce and Industries & Production of the Caretake Government of Pakistan Dr. Gohar Ejaz.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Ambassador congratulated the Minister on taking up his new position and wished him great success in his work. He told about the large-scale reforms being implemented under the leadership of the President of Turkmenistan, aimed at sustainable development, improving the level of well-being and quality of life of the Turkmen people. As an example, the city of Arkadag, which is being built on the basis of the concept of a “smart” city, was reported.

Minister Gohar Ejaz spoke about the desire to boost bilateral trade, highlighting Pakistan's commitment to open trade channels and the importance of strengthening strong ties between the business communities of the two countries.

Both sides expressed their commitment to further expand trade between our countries, in order to more fully unleash the enormous potential of economic cooperation between our countries.

The Pakistani side noted that this meeting marks a significant step forward in strengthening bilateral trade and economic ties between Pakistan and Turkmenistan.
