Meeting with Gwadar business delegation in Islamabad

On August 25, 2025, a meeting was held at the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Islamabad with a delegation of Pakistani businessmen led by the former Minister of Health of Balochistan, now the Group Leader of the Gwadar Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mir Naveed Baloch.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Turkmen side made a presentation, which reflected the foreign policy strategy of Neutral Turkmenistan, the results of the 3rd UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries, as well as the importance of the TAPI gas pipeline and TAP power transmission line projects for sustainable energy supply to Pakistan.

The parties also discussed the prospects for trade, economic and logistical cooperation in the North-South and East-West directions, including cooperation between the ports of Turkmenbashi and Gwadar.

The Pakistani side expressed interest in expanding the partnership, including in energy, transport and logistics and proposed using the potential of the Gwadar port.

At the end of the meeting, an agreement was reached on the development of contacts between business сcommunities and the exchange of business delegations.
