Prospects for Turkmen–Pakistani cooperation discussed at the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Islamabad

On November 12, 2025, a meeting was held at the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Islamabad with Mohammed Uzair Rana, Founder and Chairman of the Center for Diplomatic and Strategic Affairs, Islamabad.

During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on the situation in the region. The Turkmen side delivered a presentation on Neutral Turkmenistan's foreign policy, as well as on infrastructure projects initiated by the Turkmen Leadership aimed at strengthening peace and cooperation in the region and beyond.

The parties particularly noted the need to expand cooperation in the energy sector, including the implementation of the TAPI gas pipeline and the TAP power transmission line. It was noted that these projects will form the basis for sustainable economic development, diversification of energy routes, and deepening integration in South and Central Asia.

Mohammed Uzair Rana noted that the implementation of these projects will be a key factor in Pakistan's stable socioeconomic development and strengthening the energy interconnection of the two countries.

At the end of the meeting, the parties reaffirmed their mutual readiness for further contacts and emphasized the need for a systematic dialogue to further strengthen ties between the two fraternal countries.
