Italian Ambassador-designate pays courtesy visit to the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Islamabad

On August 3, 2026 the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Atadjan Movlamov received the Ambassador-designate of the Italian Republic to Pakistan, Ugo Ciarlatani.

At the outset of the meeting, Turkmen diplomat warmly congratulated his Italian colleague on his appointment and wished him every success in his diplomatic mission in Pakistan.

The two Ambassadors exchanged views on the current state and future prospects of Turkmen-Italian relations, reaffirming their shared interest in further strengthening bilateral cooperation across a range of areas of mutual interest.

The discussion also covered matters related to the activities of the diplomatic corps in Islamabad, including cooperation among diplomatic missions and engagement with Pakistan's government institutions and business community.

Concluding the meeting, both sides reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining regular dialogue and constructive engagement within the diplomatic community, expressing their readiness to further deepen professional cooperation and promote friendly relations between Turkmenistan and Italy.
