Briefing on key events in the history of Turkmenistan in 2017

On January 20, 2017 the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Islamic Republic of Pakistan organized Briefing on key events in the history of Turkmenistan to be held in 2017. Briefing was held at Marriott Hotel in Islamabad.

At the beginning of said event there was demonstrated promo-video of forthcoming V Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games to be held on 17-27 September, 2017 in Ashgabat.

During his speech Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Pakistan H.E. Mr. Atadjan Movlamov briefed the large-scale events that will be held in Turkmenistan in 2017, such as, Presidential Elections in Turkmenistan (12 February, 2017), V Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games (17-27 September, 2017) and 28th session of the Energy Charter Conference to be chaired by Turkmenistan (27-28, November, 2017).

Participants of this briefing appraised the achievements of Turkmenistan under the leadership of the Honorable President of Turkmenistan H.E. Mr. Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, by mentioning that Turkmenistan is recognized as the most dynamically developing nations in the region.

Ambassadors of Uzbekistan, Kyrgyz Republic, Tajikistan, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan accredited in Islamabad, as well as the diplomats of the Embassies of Belarus Republic and Russian Federation participated afore mentioned event. Scholars and experts from different think tank organizations of Pakistan also attended this function. Media representatives of “PTV”, “Rose TV”, “AbbTakk” channels, “Diplomatic Focus”, “Melange”, “Pakistan in the World” magazines and “Daily Ittehad”, “Daily Azkaar”, “Daily Patriot”, “Daily Pakistan” newspapers took part in this event.
