Ambassador of Turkmenistan Atadjan Movlamov calls on Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif

On April 17, 2024, the Ambassador of Turkmenistan Atadjan Movlamov paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif at the Prime Minster House.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Ambassador conveyed the congratulations and best wishes of the Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the National Leader of the Turkmen People, Chairman of Halk Maslakhaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to the Prime Minister on his re-election.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif thanked Turkmen Leadership for their congratulatory messages, fondly recalled his meetings with them and said he looked forward to continuing these exchanges in the future.

The Turkmen Ambassador briefed the Prime Minister on the various ongoing bilateral activities, including joint energy projects.

Reaffirming the significance of longstanding, historic and cultural ties between two brotherly countries, the Prime Minister stated there was a need to enhance bilateral cooperation, particularly in the domains of energy, trade and connectivity.

In this regard, the Prime Minister stressed the importance of regular meetings of the bilateral institutional mechanisms between the two countries.
