Ambassador of Iraq to Pakistan visits Embassy of Turkmenistan on the eve of departure

On June 2, 2025, as part of the completion of his diplomatic mission, the Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Mr. Hamid Abbas Lafta paid farewell call on the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Pakistan Mr. A. Movlamov.

During the meeting, the Ambassador of Iraq expressed deep gratitude to the Turkmen Ambassador for his constant support, friendly attitude and active interaction throughout his diplomatic service in Pakistan. He noted that he was convinced that the friendly relations between the two countries would continue to develop successfully.

The Ambassador of Turkmenistan extended his thanks to Iraqi counterpart for the friendship and attention to the development of partnership between Iraq and Turkmenistan. He also commended the fruitful diplomatic activities of Ambassador Hamid Abbas Lafta during his tenure in Pakistan.

At the end of the meeting, the parties expressed hope for the continuation of positive dynamics in the development of intergovernmental relations, and also emphasized the importance of further strengthening cooperation between Iraq and Turkmenistan on a bilateral and regional basis.
