In Islamabad Ambassadors of Turkmenistan and Austria discuss development of bilateral cooperation
On August 11, 2025, Ambassador of Turkmenistan A. Movlamov hosted a courtesy call from the Ambassador-designate of the Republic of Austria Wolfgang Oliver Kutschera.
During the meeting both sides engaged in a comprehensive discussion on the current regional situation, sharing their perspectives on key issues on the regional agenda.
The Turkmen side outlined the main priorities of Turkmenistan’s foreign policy in the regional context, emphasizing its adherence to the principles of neutrality, good neighborliness, and mutually beneficial cooperation. Turkmenistan’s commitment to active involvement in fostering multilateral cooperation aimed at enhancing mutual understanding and trust among countries of the region was also highlighted.
Special attention was given to major international energy projects, including TAPI and TAP. These initiatives were noted not only for their role in diversifying export routes for Turkmen energy resources, but also for their contribution to strengthening regional energy security and connectivity.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides expressed a shared interest in maintaining active diplomatic engagement and further strengthening the friendly relations between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Austria.
