On August 26, 2025, a round table discussion was held at the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Islamabad, Islamic Republic of Pakistan, focusing on the implementation of the outcomes of the Third United Nations Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDC3).

The event brought together the Ambassadors of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan to Pakistan. The participants commended the outcomes of the UN-led conference, which aimed to develop coordinated approaches to addressing the pressing challenges faced by landlocked developing countries (LLDCs).

During the discussion, particular emphasis was placed on the importance of enhancing regional transport and energy connectivity, expanding transit capacities, and advancing large-scale infrastructure initiatives. Participants underscored the critical role of regional integration, economic digitalization, and innovation in driving sustainable development across LLDCs.

The round table also highlighted that the effective implementation of LLDC3 decisions would require active engagement with transit countries and international financial institutions.
