Meeting with the EU Ambassador at the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Islamabad

On September 11, 2025, the Ambassador of Turkmenistan A. Movlamov received the Ambassador of the European Union (EU) to Pakistan Raimundas Karoblis at the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Islamabad.

Ambassador A. Movlamov congratulated the European diplomat on the presentation of his credentials to the President of Pakistan, which took place the day before. He wished him success in his diplomatic mission in Pakistan.

During the meeting, an exchange of views took place on the prospects for expanding cooperation between the EU and countries of the region, including Turkmenistan. The parties noted their mutual interest in developing cooperation in various fields, as well as in sustainable development issues.

The sides talked about infrastructure projects that are key to strengthening regional connectivity and sustainable development. In this context, the Ambassador of Turkmenistan highlighted current situation on the implementation of the TAPI gas pipeline and the TAP power transmission line, which are considered as significant links in the development of the energy space, were considered. It was emphasized that Turkmenistan has significant potential in the energy sector, which opens up additional opportunities for international partnership.

Following the meeting, the parties expressed willingness to maintain a constructive dialogue and continue interaction in the interests of strengthening and expanding mutually beneficial ties.
