Meeting with the Focal Person of the Pakistan’s Prime Minister's Youth Program, Overseas Affairs, Business and Trade Linkages

On October 1, 2025, Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Pakistan A. Movlamov received the newly appointed Focal Person of the Pakistan’s Prime Minister's Youth Program, Overseas Affairs, Business and Trade Linkages Mr. Shaheryar Memon at the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Islamabad.

During the meeting Ambassador A. Movlamov outlined Turkmenistan's peaceful and constructive foreign policy strategy, based on the principles of neutrality and mutually beneficial cooperation. The parties discussed possible ways to further strengthen trade and economic relations between the two countries. In this context, the Ambassador briefed on the progress of Turkmenistan's major energy initiatives, including the TAPI gas pipeline and TAP power transmission line projects, which are of strategic importance for strengthening energy security and regional integration.

The Ambassador also highlighted the construction of the innovative and environmentally sustainable city of Arkadag in Turkmenistan, which is intended to become a model of "smart" urban development in the region.

The parties also discussed a wide range of bilateral issues, including trade and economic cooperation, the development of energy ties, cultural and educational programs. It was emphasized that expanding partnership in these areas is in the interests of both parties and opens new prospects for long-term collaboration.
