On October 23–24, 2025, a delegation from Turkmenistan led by Mr. Kakajan Yagmyrov, Head of the Department of International Relations and Logistics of the Ministry of Automobile Transport of Turkmenistan, took part in the Regional Transport Ministers’ Conference (RTMC 2025) organized by the Ministry of Communications of Pakistan in Islamabad.

In their speech at the conference, the Turkmen delegation spoke about the country's transit, transport, and logistics potential, emphasizing that Turkmenistan is a key transit hub in the region and is consistently developing modern transport infrastructure—railways, highways, seaports, and logistics centers.

It was noted that Turkmenistan has successfully implemented large-scale modernization of its transport and logistics system, actively introduced digital solutions, and advanced a number of international initiatives aimed at promoting sustainable transport and the integration of regional corridors.

The delegation also underscored the importance of cooperation with Pakistan and reaffirmed Turkmenistan’s readiness to further enhance bilateral and multilateral partnerships to expand regional connectivity and strengthen trade and economic relations.

The conference once again reaffirmed the strong commitment of regional countries, including Turkmenistan, to the comprehensive development of transport and logistics linkages as a means of enhancing mutual connectivity and promoting regional economic integration.
