On October 29, 2025, a meeting with a Pakistani delegation led by Senator Naseema Ehsan, Chairperson of the Senate Committee on Delegated Legislation, was held at the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Islamabad.

The Turkmen side delivered a comprehensive presentation outlining the key priorities of the foreign policy of Neutral Turkmenistan, the country’s energy potential, and its growing role as a logistics hub at the crossroads of Eurasian transport routes. In this regard, the significance of the Third United Nations Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries, held in August 2025 in Awaza, was highlighted.

Particular attention was given to the recent visit of the National Leader of Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to Afghanistan and the launch of the next phase of the TAPI gas pipeline— the Serhetabat-Herat section, known as "Arkadagyň ak ýoly."

In this context, both parties highlighted the strategic importance of the TAPI gas pipeline and the TAP power transmission line. These initiatives are crucial for addressing the growing energy needs and enhancing Pakistan's energy security. The relevance of these projects for Pakistan’s Balochistan province was also emphasized, as the region urgently requires natural gas and electricity to drive its economic development.

The Pakistani side expressed appreciation for the presentation and reaffirmed its interest in strengthening cooperation with Turkmenistan in the fields of energy, trade, and transport.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides confirmed their mutual commitment to further deepening the bilateral partnership and advancing joint projects in priority areas of cooperation.
