Prospects for expanding educational and cultural cooperation between Turkmenistan and Pakistan discussed in Islamabad
On 10 June 2026, the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Pakistan A. Movlamov visited the National University of Modern Languages, where he held a meeting with the Rector of the university, Maj Gen Shahid Mahmood Kayani HI(M), Retd.
During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on the current state and future prospects of Turkmen-Pakistani cooperation in the fields of education, science, and culture. Particular attention was given to expanding academic engagement, strengthening inter-university cooperation, and promoting joint educational and research initiatives.
The interlocutors underscored the important role of educational and cultural exchanges in fostering mutual understanding and bringing the peoples of Turkmenistan and Pakistan closer together. In this context, they highlighted the significance of promoting the study of languages and preserving the rich cultural heritage of both nations.
The parties reaffirmed their commitment to further enhancing cooperation between educational institutions of the two countries and expressed confidence that expanded academic and cultural contacts will contribute to strengthening the traditional ties of friendship and mutually beneficial partnership between Turkmenistan and Pakistan.
