Prospects for developing cooperation between Turkmenistan and Pakistan in education were discussed in Islamabad

On June 18, 2026 prospects for strengthening cooperation between Turkmenistan and Pakistan in the fields of education, science, and academic exchange were discussed during a meeting in Islamabad between the Ambassador of Turkmenistan A.Movlamov and the Chairman of Pakistan’s Higher Education Commission (HEC) Niaz Ahmad Akhtar.

The sides highlighted the strong potential for further expanding Turkmen-Pakistani collaboration across a broad range of sectors and underscored the growing importance of cooperation in higher education, scientific research, human resource development, and academic mobility within the framework of bilateral relations.

Particular attention was given to opportunities for enhancing partnerships between higher education institutions, promoting the exchange of students and scholars, and supporting joint educational and research initiatives.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining regular dialogue and advancing mutually beneficial projects aimed at strengthening educational, scientific, and cultural ties between Turkmenistan and Pakistan.
