On September 18, 2026, Ambassador of Turkmenistan A. Movlamov participated as Chief Guest in the Ambassadors’ Dinner 2026, hosted by the Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry (LCCI) at the Serena Hotel in Islamabad for foreign Ambassadors accredited to Pakistan.

Addressing the gathering, the LCCI President and Vice-Presidents expressed appreciation to the diplomatic community for its participation, highlighted the Chamber’s key achievements, and underscored the considerable potential for expanding Pakistan’s trade and economic relations with countries across the region and beyond.

Speaking on behalf of the Heads of Diplomatic Missions, Ambassador of Turkmenistan A. Movlamov thanked the organizers for the warm welcome and highlighted the pivotal role of the business community of Lahore and Punjab in promoting exports, attracting investment, creating employment opportunities, and contributing to economic growth.

Addressing Turkmenistan’s regional policy, he noted that the country’s Leadership attaches paramount importance to strengthening regional connectivity, including the development of transport links among the countries of the region. Particular emphasis was placed on the establishment of the “Arkadagyň ak ýoly” (Arkadag’s White Path) unified transit and energy corridor, as well as progress in the implementation of the TAPI and TAP projects.

He highlighted plans to complete the construction of the strategically important Serhetabat–Herat section of the TAPI gas pipeline this year, which is expected to create the necessary conditions for the commencement of natural gas supplies to Afghanistan in 2027. The implementation of these projects will contribute to ensuring a reliable supply of cleaner energy to the region while creating new opportunities for the development of Pakistan’s industrial potential and supporting sustainable economic growth.

Ambassador A.Movlamov also underscored the growing interest of Central Asian countries, as well as other countries around the world, in expanding trade with Pakistan, optimizing transit routes, and developing long-term, mutually beneficial economic cooperation.

In conclusion, A.Movlamov expressed confidence that the event would serve as a catalyst for closer interaction and the establishment of concrete partnerships between Pakistan and the international business community.

The event provided a valuable platform for exchanging views, forging new business connections, and exploring prospects for joint projects and mutually beneficial economic cooperation.
