TURKMENISTAN AND VIETNAM AIM TO DEVELOP MULTILATERAL COOPERATION
On the 16th of May 2019, a meeting was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan with the delegation of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam headed by the Deputy Head of International Department of the Central Committee of the Communistic Party of Vietnam Nguyen Tuan Phong, who has arrived to the Turkmen capital on a working visit.
During the meeting, the parties noted the adherence to the development of multilateral relations between the two countries. In this regard, the significant role of realizing intergovernmental visits, particularly the exchange of high-level delegations was noted. Specifically the necessity of activating contacts between the foreign policy agencies of the two countries, development of the legal base, as well as the arrangement of joint economic projects were underlined. Also, the parties spoke about the opportunities for increasing the volumes of trade turnover for which good potential exists.
The parties particularly noted that the two countries were linked by historical friendship bonds and discussed the opportunities of developing the cultural and humanitarian collaboration between Turkmenistan and Vietnam.
