German Ambassador-Designate Visits Turkmenistan Embassy in Islamabad

On August 18, 2025, the Ambassador-designate of the Federal Republic of Germany to Pakistan, Ms. Ina Lepel, visited the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Islamabad.

During the meeting with the Ambassador of Turkmenistan A. Movlamov, the parties had a productive discussion focused on regional developments and shared priorities. Both sides expressed their commitment to promoting stability, strengthening peace, and enhancing regional cooperation.

Ambassador A. Movlamov briefed Ms. Ina Lepel on infrastructure and energy projects initiated by Turkmenistan with the participation of Pakistan and Afghanistan, emphasizing their potential to promote economic growth and regional connectivity.

Ambassador-designate Ina Lepel acknowledged the strategic significance of these initiatives and noted that German companies are actively exploring opportunities to contribute to their implementation.  

The meeting concluded with a mutual expression of interest in further strengthening bilateral, regional, and multilateral cooperation between Turkmenistan and Germany.
