Pathways for developing Turkmen-Pakistani cooperation discussed at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan
On November 20, 2025, Ambassador of Turkmenistan A. Movlamov held a meeting with Mr. Hasan Ali Zaigham, Director General of the Department of CARs & ECO at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan.
During the meeting, the sides conducted a substantive and wide-ranging discussion on the current state and future prospects of Turkmen-Pakistani cooperation. Particular attention was given to strengthening and expanding bilateral partnership in areas of mutual interest, including trade, economic interaction, energy, transport and transit connectivity, as well as cultural and humanitarian cooperation. The parties also exchanged views on ongoing regional developments and their impact on bilateral and multilateral engagement.
Ambassador A.Movlamov informed the Pakistani side about the publication of a special issue of Diplomatic Insight magazine dedicated to the 34th Anniversary of Independence and the 30th Anniversary of Permanent Neutrality of Turkmenistan. He noted that the magazine highlights Turkmenistan’s dynamic progress, its principled policy of neutrality, and its growing contribution to global efforts aimed at promoting peace, sustainable development, and humanitarian cooperation. The Ambassador presented several copies of the magazine for review and subsequent distribution among relevant governmental and public institutions in Pakistan.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening the partnership between Turkmenistan and Pakistan and agreed to maintain regular contacts at various levels to explore new avenues for cooperation between the two friendly and fraternal countries.
