Courtesy call meeting with new Director General of Protocol Division of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan

On April 6, 2023, in MFA Pakistan, Ambassador of Turkmenistan A.Movlamov had a courtesy call meeting with newly appointed Director General of Protocol Division of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan Tipu Usman.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Turkmen side congratulated Tipu Usman on his appointment as Director General of Protocol Division and wished him success in his job.

Thanking for the congratulations, Tipu Usman assured that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan would work closely with the Diplomatic Missions and the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Pakistan.

Noting the friendly and brotherly relations between Turkmenistan and Pakistan, A.Movlamov briefed about the implementation of major joint projects in energy sector, such as Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI) gas pipeline, as well as power transmission line and fiber-optic communication line on the route Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan (TAP). Ambassador emphasized the importance of these projects for Pakistan's energy security and communication cable system.

Praising the Pakistan's relations with Turkmenistan, Tipu Usman stressed that TAPI and TAP projects are significant for Pakistan's economic development.
