The Embassy of Turkmenistan delivered a lecture at Bahria University

On September 23, 2025, Ambassador of Turkmenistan A. Movlamov and First Secretary (Consul) of the Embassy B. Yazov visited the Islamabad campus of Bahria University, Pakistan.

At the university, the Turkmen delegation met with the campus's Director General, Rear Admiral (R) Naeem Sarwar SI (M), and the Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Professor Adam Saud. They discussed prospects for cooperation in education and research, academic exchange, and joint research projects.

Following the meeting with the university's leadership, the Embassy representatives delivered a lecture on "The Role of Turkmenistan's Positive Neutrality in Strengthening Peace and Trust." In his speech, the First Secretary (Consul) of the Embassy briefed on Turkmenistan's positive Neutrality, emphasizing its role in strengthening peace and trust, the significance of the Strategy of Global Security proposed by the President of Turkmenistan, the TAPI and TAP energy projects, as well as the importance of 2025 as the International Year of Peace and Trust and the upcoming International Forum on the 30th Anniversary of Turkmenistan's Neutrality on December 12.

Following the lecture, the students expressed great interest in the topic and posed questions regarding the development of bilateral relations between Turkmenistan and Pakistan, the utilization of the region's transit and transport potential, and the prospects for implementing the TAPI and TAP energy projects.

All questions were answered in detail, including with the participation of Ambassador A. Movlamov. It was emphasized that sustainable development is based on trust and cooperation, and energy projects are of strategic importance for the region. It was particularly noted that the younger generation of specialists studying today will play an important role in strengthening interstate ties in the future.
