Prospects for energy cooperation discussed at the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Islamabad
On 12 March 2026, a meeting was held at the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Islamabad with a delegation led by Kamran Ahmad, CEO of Orient Petroleum Inc.
During the meeting, representatives of the Pakistani company highlighted the substantial potential for a mutually beneficial bilateral partnership between our countries and expressed their interest in further strengthening cooperation in the energy sector.
The Turkmen side briefed about the growing export potential of Turkmenistan’s energy sector. As one of the world’s leading producers of natural gas, Turkmenistan is consistently implementing a strategy aimed at diversifying export routes, introducing advanced technologies in the extraction and processing of hydrocarbons, and expanding international cooperation to meet the increasing global demand for energy resources.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties reaffirmed their mutual interest in further deepening and diversifying Turkmen–Pakistani cooperation.
