TURKMENISTAN UNANIMOUSLY ELECTED AS PERMANENT MEMBER OF THE UN CONFERENCE ON TRADE AND DEVELOPMENT

On June 27, 2019, in Geneva, the Swiss Confederation, Turkmenistan was unanimously elected as a permanent member of the Council of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) during its 66th session.

Turkmenistan was entered in the list of group “A” as the 157th member of this Council.

The supreme body of UNCTAD is the Conference, which holds its ministerial-level sessions at least once every four years to determine the general directions of the policy and address issues related to the work program of the Organization.
