Golden Jubilee Session of Senate of Pakistan

As a part of the events dedicated to the celebrations of the 50th Anniversary of the establishment of the Senate of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, a special session was held with the participation of parliamentarians and heads of Diplomatic Missions in Islamabad on March 16 at Parliament House, Islamabad.

Speaking on the occasion, Chairman of the Senate of Pakistan Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif thanked the participants and guests for joining the solemn event dedicated to the half-century journey of the Upper House of Parliament. They noted that the Senate of Pakistan played an important role in legislation and promotion of national unity, as well as in ensuring equal representation of all federal units. They emphasized the need to unite the efforts and selfless work of members of parliament and government to overcome the challenges.

At the meeting, along with current and former senators, the floor was also given to the number of heads of Diplomatic Missions accredited to Islamabad. Ambassador of Turkmenistan A. Movlamov conveyed sincere congratulations and best wishes on behalf of the Leadership of Turkmenistan on the historic occasion of the Golden Jubilee - 50th Anniversary of the Senate of Pakistan. He expressed gratitude for organizing this event, which made it possible to get acquainted with the rich and productive history of the Senate of Pakistan.
