Ambassadors of Central Asian countries and Azerbaijan meet with the Leadership of the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan

On May 12, 2026, the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan hosted a meeting in Islamabad between the Ambassadors of the Central Asian countries and Azerbaijan and the HEC leadership, headed by Chairman Niaz Ahmad Akhtar.

The discussions focused on strengthening cooperation in the field of higher education and exploring new opportunities for academic collaboration. During the meeting, the participants exchanged views on their respective national education policies and ongoing reforms.

Ambassador of Turkmenistan A. Movlamov highlighted the initiatives being implemented in Turkmenistan to modernize the country’s education system and expand international cooperation in higher education.

The participants reaffirmed their shared commitment to enhancing institutional partnerships, promoting academic exchange, sharing best practices, and further developing cooperation in higher education.
