Specific Areas of Turkmen-Swiss Cooperation Discussed in Islamabad

On September 15, 2026, a meeting was held at the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Islamabad between the Ambassador of Turkmenistan His Excellency Mr. Atadjan Movlamov and Ambassador-designate of Swiss Confederation to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan His Excellency Mr. Stéphane Rey.

During a constructive exchange of views, the parties discussed issues of the regional and international agenda, including the current situation in Afghanistan.

The meeting also focused on prospects for further strengthening and expanding Turkmen-Swiss cooperation in areas of mutual interest. It was emphasized that, as states pursuing a policy of neutrality, Turkmenistan and Switzerland have considerable potential to deepen bilateral engagement in further strengthening joint efforts to promote peace, security, and stability in the region and beyond.
